yavvy I dont get why people check blind. Its a stupid move in my opinion espically if you do it all the time. The only reason I can think for doing it is that your reaction to revealed cards is so bad you need to take the focus off yourself - In which case it would be better to suit up with hoodies and shades etc etc. Can anyone make a good case for this behavior (on any kind of a regular basis )?:bs: :arghh:
Richard~ I think it used to be people who didn't like folding to cbets all the time who used it as a "I checked without looking, so I might have a strong hand on that board" nonsense. Also, people who check dark usually stare down their opponent for tells, but you could do that just as well without checking dark
trigs i would only check blind in a deep cash game against a reg that i know. that is, i'm only using this tactic to put a reg off his game and/or confuse him a little. also, i'm probably doing this with a hand that i don't mind check/folding the flop with like a low/middle pocket pair or low/middle suited connectors. if i hit the flop boom! if not, no big deal to fold. i would never use it in a tournament and i would never use it against someone i don't know since it just becomes a wasted action then imo. that being said, i've probably done this maybe once ever.
JimmyHo personally I see nothing wrong with checking blind. Quite the opposite, I usually see it done by competent good post flop players. Its just another tool in their poker arsenal. Not that it should be used all the time. Has to be in the right setting, against the right player. Not an advocate of checking blind on multiple streets.
djgolfcan Checking blind is a waste of time. No one at the Casino is paying attention and the next player always asks "Did he check ?"
Richard~ how is checking dark a weapon in your arsenal? it's more like you're taking out the donklead out of your arsenal for the hands you do it in. Checking dark is just saying "look at me planning to check my whole range this time"
[deleted] [x] sounds like everyone ITT has gotten pwned hard by some douche checking in the dark i got stacked because of it one time... tilted me so bad I punted 250 beibers lol
yavvy checking blind hasnt hurt me todate but im seeing more and more of it creap into the games Im playing. I dont care - advantage to me as far as Im concerned... but I got to thinking if this is something I should use and incorporate into my game. And I came to the conclusion it wasnt... Glad to see others agree.

Milo Take the foil hat off, GTA . . . Richard is a confirmed Northern Euro player . . . the slightly different coat on his giraffes is what might be throwing you off, though.
Wetts1012 Jacen299;352255 wroteIf someone checks blind can you announce your cbet blind? binding? Matt Savage once posted that the cool kids were checking by saying " I checkraise", and he would issue them penalties.
