SUPERCNC;337560 wroteI played on these tables at Mowhawk this Sunday aft. I was planning an hour to play and $100.00 limit. No waiting, only 1 table of 1-2NL running. Loose play and large action. Seen a newbie drop $100.00 on his 3rd hand, another fellow drop $500.00 in 1/2 hour. Its an unusual combination of playing on the comp online and live. The touch screen does not work so well with your fingers you end up using your winners circle card to tap the screen icons. If you are used to having chips in your hands while playing live, its an adjustment for sure. The good things are its fast play, no dealing errors, no card shuffle changes or time outs, no session fees, NO WAITING is the biggest bonus, and seems to be inexperienced players will try it out cuz it looks like playing a slot machine or virtual blackjack. Its NL and within a 40 minute drive from Waterloo. The cons are now the casino knows exactly how much you are making playing live. Every cent is tracked because you have to load up on the winners circle card account before you play and unload it at the cashier. Maybe its more secure?? but big brother now has access to more info. Not having a live dealer helps cut down on errors but some dealers are very entertaining people and they deserve their tips and work. The dealers also help control the game from getting too chatty. In short summary Its an interesting new way to play and well worth it to check it out.
My result for 1/2 hour of play was a lot of folds but managed to double up from the big stack with A9c against his A2o. We flopped an As 3h 4h. 2 K turned and rivered and my hand held up. After that I was card dead for 15 minutes and my time was out. Good money to be made if you can be patient for good hands.
Also got a free $5.00 voucher for slots and turned that into $16.00 in 5 minutes. A decent day out for an hour :)
obviously there are no dealers, but i'd figure there was still someone just kind of supervising, isn't there? without someone watching i'd think the game could have some issues such as collusion or people just being more dickish than normal since there's no one telling them to shut up.
