Finally pulled the trigger on Cyber Monday to buy my next poker system.

27" monitor, 2560 x 1440 resolution. I will multi-table on two big screens, with this one on portrait mode so it can fit on the same table as my 42" HDTV.

Seriously though isn't that a little overkill for poker? Now if you are going to also play WOW, etc then carry on.. Will be interested in your honest thoughts on Windows 8 though... Pretty negative reviews..

The Black Friday price for the Vesta gaming bundle was lower than the prices I had been getting for poker-only configurations. I downgraded the graphics card from a $310 ASUS GeForce GTX 660 Ti 2GB to an ASUS Radeon HD 7770 1GB, and used the money to upgrade to a Mushkin Chronos Deluxe 240 GB SSD.

I paid an extra $2 to replace the Windows 8 default with 7 coz I don't like going Metro. ;) I wouldn't want to play "touch" poker with the 42" and 27" screens.
