Richard~ this one is a pretty sick cooler imo. I have the nut 10 so I have to expect him to value J10 through K10 the same way as the boat. Much less "if he has it he has it" than the last hand I posted but a lot of the same post flop logic applies. Feel free to drop a comment if you think it's not as much of a cooler as I make it out to be On a sidenote I'm not sure I think it's neccesary to block bet river here since I'm still hoping villain will put out a biggish valuebet with a worse hand PokerStars Hand #83232810423: Tournament #2012070004, $3.00+$0.30 USD Hold'em No Limit - Level XV (70/140) - 2012/07/13 0:22:12 CET [2012/07/12 18:22:12 ET] Table '2012070004 248' 9-max Seat #9 is the button Seat 1: diegociba (37621 in chips) Seat 2: Battmeister (10510 in chips) Seat 3: parrish09 (14593 in chips) Seat 4: swan100 (5226 in chips) Seat 5: baSt!414 (14556 in chips) Seat 6: IRichardI (21526 in chips) Seat 7: 4BetBluffer (2284 in chips) is sitting out Seat 8: Martinique13 (17892 in chips) Seat 9: Yamagutt (17657 in chips) diegociba: posts the ante 20 Battmeister: posts the ante 20 parrish09: posts the ante 20 swan100: posts the ante 20 baSt!414: posts the ante 20 IRichardI: posts the ante 20 4BetBluffer: posts the ante 20 Martinique13: posts the ante 20 Yamagutt: posts the ante 20 diegociba: posts small blind 70 Battmeister: posts big blind 140 *** HOLE CARDS *** Dealt to IRichardI [Ts Ah] parrish09: folds swan100: folds baSt!414: folds IRichardI: raises 210 to 350 4BetBluffer: folds Martinique13: folds Yamagutt: calls 350 diegociba: folds Battmeister: calls 210 *** FLOP *** [6s Tc Td] Battmeister: checks IRichardI: bets 680 Yamagutt: calls 680 Battmeister: folds *** TURN *** [6s Tc Td] [7h] IRichardI: bets 1400 Yamagutt: raises 2056 to 3456 IRichardI: calls 2056 *** RIVER *** [6s Tc Td 7h] [4s] IRichardI: checks Yamagutt: bets 5678 IRichardI: calls 5678 *** SHOW DOWN *** Yamagutt: shows [6h 6c] (a full house, Sixes full of Tens) IRichardI: mucks hand Yamagutt collected 20928 from pot *** SUMMARY *** Total pot 20928 | Rake 0 Board [6s Tc Td 7h 4s] Seat 1: diegociba (small blind) folded before Flop Seat 2: Battmeister (big blind) folded on the Flop Seat 3: parrish09 folded before Flop (didn't bet) Seat 4: swan100 folded before Flop (didn't bet) Seat 5: baSt!414 folded before Flop (didn't bet) Seat 6: IRichardI mucked [Ts Ah] Seat 7: 4BetBluffer folded before Flop (didn't bet) Seat 8: Martinique13 folded before Flop (didn't bet) Seat 9: Yamagutt (button) showed [6h 6c] and won (20928) with a full house, Sixes full of Tens
[deleted] I'm not strong enough to tell exactly when to use it or not but we might consider blocking this one too. Blocking bet is like thin value here for sure too (they all kinda are i think). Here he might check back some weak Tx hands, and for certain some two pair hands that he'll call a blocking bet. And because he can't really come over top with worse we can bet/fold and save ourselves from, quads, boats, and straights. but I guess you'd run an ev calc for each line, I can't tell whats better but thats why I use it sometimes.
[deleted] costanza;322833 wroteFold pre ha i think thats the tightest thing youve ever said! thats def change.
[deleted] Richard~;322840 wroteopening this with 5 players to act always, antes or no antes, loose fish or no loose fish yes this is prob better, ive prob been folding ato pre antes here sometimes tho, might have to look at it. im def wider with antes though
[deleted] im def folding ATo is like the ultimate neutral EV hand thats ever existed im a massive nit tho, so i fold like a pussy and laugh Ato is basicly Ace high with a bullshit kicker, always dominated, never ahead its also one of the toughest hands to play post flop i find, you never know where you stand with ATo
Richard~ I definitely think not opening hands like A10o in spots like this might be a bit of a leak if you're comfortable post flop
betrthanphil hand is played pretty perfect, why blocker bet? we want him to be betting the river. All a blocker bet will do is make him raise more with better hands and flat with worse, or better yet fold his bluffs. This is just s sick cooler but played well. I might have check raised turn though but then you lose max. Folding A10o here pre is probably the worst thing Ive ever heard lol
[deleted] betrthanphil;322995 wrotehand is played pretty perfect, why blocker bet? Are you saying Sjlot isn't hot?
[deleted] darbday;323081 wroteAre you saying Sjlot isn't hot? lmao thats what u got out of his entire post? and its not even close to anything he implied lmao

[deleted] costanza;323086 wrotelmao thats what u got out of his entire post? and its not even close to anything he implied lmao I'm still wondering if this is all you got from this thread!
[deleted] betrthanphil;322995 wrotehand is played pretty perfect, why blocker bet? No no...no ones doing that we're just gonna consider it, in case we have notes that villain never bluffs, and will check back a ten a lot, and will call a bet with a lot of really marginal hands or something....but then we'll just ask BTP Boom Pancakes!
Richard~ darbday;323217 wrote and will check back a ten a lot we're not playing double or nothings here. Checking back a ten here is something almost no one does
[deleted] betrthanphil;323266 wroteexactly! this is the thread where i suggested bet/fold for realz yo! http://www.pokerforum.ca/f53/overpair-oop-3bet-pot-28744/
