While I know I want the shitty calls, I just hate when I bet 2.5x and 3 limpers come along because it's "cheap". Early in the game there seem to be many more of these players. Maybe it's a leak of mine..but I like 3.5x early game if I am gonna play the hand.
its not a leak. i usually do it too but im experimenting a smaller size from late position, helps me play more hands, deal with 3bets easier, gives me ability to fold without losing as much and overall gives me a better price on steal. it also allows opponents to play fit or fold on the flop with weaker ranges.
ideally id like to raise smaller with my pocket pairs always, but of course that would get obvious but here i think i can get away with a 2.25
