Blue Jays send struggling Adam Lind to Minor Leagues | bluejays.com: News
Lind dropping an easy pop-up into the seats and then EE doing a headfirst flip right into the seats and making a way more difficult catch the very next day basically sealed his fate. At least the short pants will be advisable in Vegas.
Watch quick before it gets pulled.

I thought I would watch the Jays game tonight, since I had the T.V. to myself. Wow did they ever crush the Mets. There hitting was amazing tonight. I hope they can keep it up.
There is no crying in baseball but there is swearing. Awesome.

Holy Fuck. We get rid of Buck the butcher for a week and they find Jose Cruz Jr. from some scrap heap. What? Was Alberto Castillo busy?

Blue Jays sign veteran Jamie Moyer to Minor League contract | bluejays.com: News
Didn't they learn from the Vlady mistake?
Not sure which part of Vladdy was a mistake, they essentially invited him to a free tryout and didn't rush him, especially when they were about to start interleague play and his only use would be a PH ABJohnnieH;321256 wroteThis makes me shake my head. As for Moyer, another free tryout and a guy who can make starts in AAA for that depleted rotation since most of the 51's rotation from May are up with the Jays. Obviously not great that it came to this, but way better than moving their top prospects from AA or A up too fast and blowing their confidence. Not like you have to worry about Moyer getting shelled in Vegas and losing his confidence, if he gets lit up you just cut him and let him retire
Hey I love Moyer. He probably doesn't have it anymore but the soft-tosser can eat innings, especially if Alvarez is also gone.
Welcome back AAAdam Lind. Not.

esp since the starting rotation is now Romero and ummm .... The 51's
I wish we had picked up Jeff Francis when he was avail

Or how about this? Jose Bautista has just only one more strikeout (14) in the month of June than he does home runs (13). Compare that with Adam Dunn who has the second most home runs in the Majors with 24, he struck out 39 times while hitting 8 home runs in June.
Yesterday, Bautista set a new Blue Jays franchise record for home runs in a single month with 13. That broke the previous record set by Carlos Delgado in August of 1999 and Jose Cruz Jr. in August of 2001.
Here are just a few more incredible facts during Jose Bautista's "June Swoon"; he's seen 37 sinkers from right handed pitchers this month, and not swung and missed on a single one. Jose has seen 36 fastballs from lefties, and not swung and missed on a single one.

There's 3 more games left this month too!moose;321461 wrote Yesterday, Bautista set a new Blue Jays franchise record for home runs in a single month with 13. That broke the previous record set by Carlos Delgado in August of 1999 and Jose Cruz Jr. in August of 2001.
It was a mistake in hindsight I guess. If Moyer had anything left in the tank, he wouldn't have been cut twice this year.Pinhead;321259 wroteNot sure which part of Vladdy was a mistake, they essentially invited him to a free tryout and didn't rush him, especially when they were about to start interleague play and his only use would be a PH AB
It appears that the Moyer experiment will be short-lived. Heard 3 BB, 2 HR in first 2/3 of an inning tonight for Vegas... Wonder what Brian Tallet is doing these days, he can't help with the pitching but some facial hair lessons could go a long way towards intimidating the oppositionJohnnieH;321471 wroteIf Moyer had anything left in the tank, he wouldn't have been cut twice this year.
Edit: What I heard about Moyer was way off, apparently his line was 5IP, 3 runs on 7 hits and a walk.
That's amazing. We've never had a player of this calibre on the Jays.moose;321461 wroteSickaments...

Hill hit for the cycle.
If you've heard that already, I mean he did it a second time.
