Flying out in 18 hours approx. Aiming to play either the $550 or the $1060 mega on Thursday morning.

Still got a few % left and will accept until I play my first event.

Follow both @weswong8 and @westside8poker for updates (not sure which I will use yet - depends which one I get working on wifi at the Rio and whether it's on my Blackberry on iPod)

Day 1 update - played the $1060 mega-satellite at 1pm, ended up not getting into my seat until about 1:30~ due to the long line and just taking awhile to go through the registration.

Not much went on the tourney, pretty much bounced around starting stack until 100/200/25. Lost 2750 when I shoved over a shortie shove with TT and he won the flip with AQ. And then I raised AQ in MP, villain called from the button with AK. Flop A 9 6, I bet, he shove, I call and lose.

Good news is that I chopped a Venetian $135 satellite tonight so we're not down as much.

Cash game wise didn't go as well, lost 3 buy-ins in total. First AA < KK AIPF with K on turn. Hand 2 was 5 way limped pot with me in MP with 88, flop Q J 8 and I get AI on the 7 turn card with 88 < villain's QQ (yes, sometime limped with QQ). Last buy-in was lost when I had T8cc, with flop of T72cc, we get about 30% of my stack in and the rest on the turn of 9x and bricked. Villain had AT.

Hopefully tomorrow goes better - aiming to play the $1K again

How many people played the $1k satty? I fly in tomorrow, I'm thinking about playing the $2k. I will be a little late, likely missing a level. Does it seem like a big deal to be a little late? Good luck tomorrow!

They didn't have the final numbers on the board yet, but I'm pretty sure they got 500+ for that $1k.

Busto'd the 1K again today - actually got up to 2x starting by winning medium sized pots. Had 14000~ at 300/600/50 when an active player in EP raised to 2000. I moved in with AK and lost to JJ.

Bumped into blackmagicz and SteveKerr on the way out as I was tweeting about my bust-out. They were going to visit Betrthanphil and register for 1c tomorrow.

Back in hotel now and heading out to dinner with some friends soon, will probably head back to the Rio to play some STT tonight after dinner.

Chopped another 275 yesterday but didn't play anything today. Right now don't feel like I will play the $340 Venetian tomorrow since I don't think I'll play my best. I will see how I feel in the morning but I might just go play a couple of $80 STT and sell the lamers or something.

Just got back this morning - still in a bit of a daze since annoying people kept me up on the red-eye. Overall down a bit, but there will be refunds and all that coming. I will tabulate that up and post up numbers probably in a day or two.

Sorry guys, was going to crunch the numbers this weekend but I got called to play a softball tournament for my reg. Tuesday night team as they were short for the tourney. I'll get it to in a few days. But just rough #s in my head each % will get about $15-$20 back - a loss but at least there will be some payout. Will try to finalize ASAP.

Sorry for the delay, finally got a spreadsheet and gathered all my info that I had in various places. Honestly the trip was a blur so I didn't want to work anything off memory/twitter as there were periods of time when my phone was dead/had no reception. I will be sending a PM to everyone who bought a piece of me to arrange for payouts - if there are interested parties (like Wolffhound stated above), I am willing to roll over the "winnings" to a $15/$30 45/180 man sit and go package which I think I'm +ev in.
