This happened at a 50/50 NLHE tournament on poker stars.
Should I have check/folded the river? Raised more pre-flop? Been tipped off by the check/calls? This kind of hand seems to be the hardest to play.
Seat 1: Folds (4330 in chips)
Seat 3: Villain1 (1415 in chips)
Seat 5: Hero (1455 in chips)
Seat 6: Villain2 (5200 in chips)
Seat 8: Folds (1415 in chips)
Seat 9: Folds (1185 in chips)
Folds: posts small blind 30
Villain1: posts big blind 60
*** HOLE CARDS ***

Hero: raises 120 to 180 (3x BB)
Villain2: calls 180
Folds: folds

*** TURN *** [9h 3c Th] [7s]

Hero: bets 360 (again about a third)
Villain2: folds
Villain1: calls 360
*** RIVER *** [9h 3c Th 7s] [3h]
Villain1: checks
Hero: bets 735 and is all-in
Villain1: calls 695 and is all-in
Uncalled bet (40) returned to Hero
*** SHOW DOWN ***
Hero: shows [Ad As] (two pair, Aces and Threes)
Villain1: shows [7h Ah] (a flush, Ace high)
Villain1 collected 3220 from pot
Looking back, it seems that 1/3 is a very light bet, especially considering the 9 and 10 of hearts on the flop.
betrthanphil
bet almost double what you did on flop and ship turn.
JohnnieH
Bet the pot on the flop, but once he hit that 7 he's not going anywhere.
Shrug your shoulders and move on......
