hot sauce- where to buy?

I need to find something other than Tobasco and Franks. Anyone know where there is a decent selection of hot sauces in the surrounding areas of Miss/Oakville/Burl?

Try and find an international food store. Even here in little Kincardine we (at one point) had one. They had all sorts of cool hot sauces from Asia, Mexico and various African countries. Once you try some of the really interesting ones, you'll never go back to Franks and Tabasco.

Even Sobeys has some slightly interesting ones other than the two mentioned above.

Of course this town is so freaking closed minded and the place closed down because nobody here is willing to try anything that's not meat and potatoes or haggis! That brought tears to my eyes.

I have a friend who frequently traveled south and turned me on to Uncle Brutha's Sauces. Awesome. I think they're based in the Washington DC area.

I have no idea if you can find them around here as I always had him fill my order for me (unfortunately he's switched jobs and my supply has ended). I have pondered placing an order online but shipping charges are $25.

Yes, 100%. When I drive somewhere I can get it....I buy a few of the biggest bottles I can get. Watching the GF put it on whatever we were having like ketchup one day (first time she tried it) was priceless. I warned her, but she said she'd be ok...... Didn't turn out well. More food ended up having to be made.

For identification purposes, Rooster on it with green lid. Don't fool around with it. It's serious stuff.

You can buy at any Chinese grocery store in the GTA. I shop there all the time so if you want I can pickup.

I like spicy, but hot just for sake of hot is no longer appealing. If it does not enhance the taste, why bother?

I can't help here folks. Stuff rips my insides and I poop barbed wire for a month. :D

Try any East Indian store. They have stuff that will also rip the taste buds off the old licker.

I'm a hot sauce collector and other than my regular asian ones I also love the caribbean/mexican stuff made with real peppers.

I like tobasco on some stuff but Franks is weak sauce.

There are stores on the water front that have sections allocated exclusively for their sauces. We can share the driving, down there in no time.
There is a little bar that schucks their own oysters in the window, the beer is always cold....
I think if you look, there may even be golf near by....

Winter doesn't seem so crappy, with a good warm story!
