all this was my strategy and usually leaves me with tight stats, even when i feel like im making ridiculous loose openings im still like 9/9. my deep stack game sucks but playing micro cash games will get me used to it.
If you're playing 9%, then your range is:
88+, ATs+, AJo+, KTs+, KQo, QJs. Are those really the only hands you play? Maybe when you're in the 10-30xBB range, but you can play a lot more hands when you're 40+xBB (well, technically when effective stacks are 40+), and you will have to open with a bigger range when < 10xBB, so on average you should be at least 12-14 vpip. And then you should have at least some bluffing percentage (like 50% of times when folded to you on the button or cut-off, etc.)... and if you do this at all, then you must only be playing top 7% from other positions: 88+, ATs+, KTs+, AQo+. That's uber-nitty (says a known nit).
