p/f is standard. Given his stack size, I don't 3 bet as it commits us to calling a shove with a speculative hand. Folding p/f is weak/tight.

On the flop if we had Jh10d I would be happier getting it in here. His p/f range includes a lot of weak aces here. And given he already committed 1/2 his stack and is now under 10bb, if villain hit any part of this, (outside maybe q10os) they are probably stacking off here as they are getting over 3/1.

You may get KK to fold, but not too often as most would 3 bet a btn raise with a decent ace. Unless villain is a complete monkey, JJ/10 probably has to fold given the 2 overs and uber-wet board.

A quick stove of villains range gives me this (edit, although I think I am giving villain a decently wide range from the button that includes most suited Aces/Kings most pocket pairs and various suited connectors:

Bingo players call this hand when I try to show some strength usually with 7-3 and hit the 7 on the river. Thats the 1$ way.

^^ This. 18 bb effective. Its like my fav hand to 3 bet shove light with as hes not gunna call off his stack with anything that has us absolutely crushed very often. With the limited hh you have on villain, and the fact that its a button raise, I think I jam pre here more often then fold. But I really don't like the flat OOP. Just my 2c.

Seriously though, everyone has a different style and that's what this forum is for, to share the different ways others would play a hand.

For me, I try and find spots where I am a favourite (65-35) to to win the hand, before I will committ most of my chips to a hand. There are usually better spots than 6 outs during a tournament, to get your chip in with.

You can discount the fold, he's put more than half his stack in already and is getting better than 3:1 on a call with two cards coming.

If we are shipping here, shouldn't we give him a chance to fold by donk betting the flop? By C/R here he is absolutely committed, and really the only thing we are happy to see when he calls is a pure bluff.
I think preflop ship/fold>flat calling, but on flop I think bet/call>check/folding or check raising
