Sarcastic? Maybe... right? Definitely
I don't mind folding pocket pairs - especially if you aren't solid post-flop. But, you should have a reason for pretty much any move you make. With a pocket pair, I'm raising it here, because aggression wins poker games. You're in middle position, you have 7 people behind you. You putting the pressure on them is fantastic, it puts you in charge of the hand. If you get played back at (i.e. re-raised), well, then re-evaluate. If you get callers, it still gives you the most chances to win the hand post-flop, including hitting your set and making a well-concealed monster hand. If it's a ragged board, you can steal it with a continuation bet, and if it's a scary board, you can minimize your losses.
Now, as for your fold, if your reason was that your table image was the arrogant, and I don't know what you mean by "unreal", you should probably avoid the chat box. The arrogant player gets people mad to make them make more mistakes, but that means the arrogant guy has to be able to out-play the others. As I said earlier, there are other (valid) reasons to fold this hand, or at least make an argument for folding it.

P.S. - calling is the worst thing you can do there.
