I completely agree. Although I have not played a lot online.
I have noticed this trend in live poker.
Weekdays were =EV and Weekends were +EV without a doubt.
Now it seems like live in a casino due to the rake and fish not having as much money and some becoming experienced a weekday is -EV and weekends is where any money is to be made.
My advice, keep your place simple and analyze.
(Macro not micro) And keep records, track your play.
On paper.... In head does not work.
I have a spreadsheet I fill out after every session.
Where, when, duration, outcome, mood, notes, etc.
iNano78;216726 wroteI've found the same thing (except over 10,000 hands I'll have up-swings and down-swings, and overall am breaking even). In short, I think there are fewer fish and/or more experienced players (or some of the fish became experienced) than there were a few years ago. It's not like the old days when any half-decent player had a huge edge over the average.
I still find that live games are a lot easier. I have a much higher ROI live than online.
