I think it was just last week Negreanu was giving Blom tips on the mixed games. As of 8:15 pm in Vegas Blom is sitting 2nd in chips in the 50k, Event 45.

nope.

EDIT: okay i'll elaborate.

three reasons why blom will not win the players championship:

1) he's not good enough at all the poker variants (especially important since the final table will not be only holdem this year)
2) he can't keep running as good as he has (already spiked a one-outter to not get eliminated)
3) phil ivey is still in the field - enough said.

it was only hold'em before because it was a televised final table and variants other than hold'em (and other flop games) are not 'good' on tv. this year, it's not televised so they are leaving it the same 8 game spread.
