STR82ACE This hand came up yesterday, and I'm hearing I should have folded it preflop given the stats and the play preflop, but its a 6max .02/.04 NL game, and I can't justify folding almost any pair in this spot. Known players: vp$ip BBvsSteal ORL RaisePreflop Position: Stack AF W$SD WTS hands 9 91 13 8 SB: $5.02 12.0 100 14 295 Hero: $5.49 23 50 38 20 BU: $8.45 6.0 33 21 97 0.02/0.04 No-Limit Hold'em (5 handed) Preflop: Hero is BB with JSpade , JHeart 2 folds, BU raises to $0.16, SB raises to $0.52, Hero raises to $0.88, BU folds, SB raises to $5.02 (All-In), Hero calls $4.14. Flop: ($10.20) 5Diamond , 4Diamond , 2Spade Turn: ($10.20) KDiamond River: ($10.20) 9Spade (1 players) Final Pot: $10.20 The min raise I made was a misclick, but it doesn't matter anyway. Basically, the stats of 9/8 over 295 hands is saying this opponent is super tight. He's made moves and is a competent player, he isn't getting his money in with nothing. Still, can I be expected to be able to fold a pair, as evil as JJ is, against anyone at this level?
JimmyHo a 100x BB + raise must be telling you something, even at this level. Even against AK, AQ, KQ, do you like to flip for stacks? I'm starting to hate JJ. I usually play it like any other mid pair. I find it harder to get away from QQ for some reason.
compuease Why use software to determine stats if you are not going to act on what it's telling you...? That many raises from a supertight player, like me :), insta muck...

g2 Not really much to do with this specific hand/post - this was just a tipping point. You post, "I know what the right answer is, wah wah wah, I just can't do it". I think that calls for taking a serious look at why you play the game (online at least - I'm sure you have a great time running/playing in your league). /g2
