There was nothing wrong with my post. I can make any comment I like as long as it doesn't violate the rules of the forum, which by no means I did.

DELETING POSTS, INCLUDING SUBSEQUENT POSTS BY OTHER MEMBERS SO THAT THERE IS NO EVIDENCE THE POST EVER EXISTED AND CARRYING ON AS IF IT NEVER EXISTED ISWRONG.

I EXPECT APOLOGIES FROM THE MOD WHO DID THIS AND A COMMITMENT FROM THE FORUM MANAGEMENT THAT CENSORSHIP OF POSTS THAT DO NOT VIOLATE FORUM RULES WILL NOT OCCUR AGAIN.

WHAT ELSE HAS BEEN CLEANSED FROM THE FORUM WITHOUT OUR KNOWLEDGE???

disagree. mods and admins can do whatever the hell they please here, in their interest, however they decide to define that. (for example, if you want to say "trillion bloz", i expect the post to disappear.) we pleebs can always vote with our eyes and fingers. we can put up nasty posts too and if that works i will be impressed.

of course, i'm curious as hell as to what was in that post now...

Please tell me how this picture in any way violates forum rules. Please tell me why it was deleted. Please tell me why if it was SO wrong that there was no comment/pm/email/warning/suspension. Please tell me why not only was my post deleted, but any comments by other forumers afterwards were also deleted so that there was no trace of the post ever having existed.

What is the point of posting if you have no idea if your post will exist the next day?

Graham's quote makes me laugh because this was the SO offensive picture. Maybe you will recall seeing it now. Complete BS that it was deleted. Complete BS that other members posts were also deleted so that no-one would know that it was ever there.

I am not posting at a site where posts are removed that have nothing against forum policy.

While I agree that the mods and Admin can do what they like with their site, I do feel it behooves them to respect the membership enough to, at a minimum, list who deleted a given post. Failing that, a PM to the offender beforehand with an explanation as to why the deletion is deemed appropriate. Just seems like good customer relations to me.

Fair enough Milo but it's not like mods get paid for what they do. They try and keep things running smoothly in a pretty much thankless job. There is nothing wrong with cleaning up some of the crap that gets posted here.

They especially shouldn't have to race to their PM's to justify taking down some stupid picture that no one gives a rats ass about anyway. Why should they have to treat everyone with kid gloves, it's not like they are treated with respect, just read the first post in this thread if you don't believe me. This issue could have been handled discretely by PM too but it wasn't.

In all honesty I have only a vague memory of the thread that picture was posted in and when I origionally saw it my thoughts were that I wasn't sure the person was spamming. It seems like whenever a noob makes a post that says, "I use product XYZ for my poker game and I like it," they get about 5 immediate follow ups that call them a spammer.

Now maybe they are and maybe they aren't but really who cares. If they get out of hand they will get banned so why does everyone need to jump on the first post. Let the mods do their job.

The first site I came accross was flopturnriver.com when I started looking up poker info on the net. Now if one of my first posts here had referenced FTR and 5 people had jumped in the thread calling me a spammer I likely would have thought this site is full of assholes and never came back. Since the owners of this site paid money for it and they generate revenue from traffic, it is their perogative to keep it a shiny happy place. Any one poster who thinks this site revolves around their version of the way things should be is clearly mistaken. We are a community here.

Now from what I know of you Moose I think you are smart guy who contributes a lot of thoughtful posts here. Although I don't always aggree with you almost always treat people with repect. I don't know if it is the full moon or what but you are way offside here. I hope you take a breath and get back down to business.

Ok since there are no other mods (Wes) nor Graham around I will try and put a voice of reason to this. While I had no hand in any of this nor was I informed at all, I do recall that the original post sure looked like it was a typical spam and hence there were a few responses to that effect including Moose's Spam can. Now Im not sure what else happened as I was out all day but there must have been something more going on. I do know that the original thread was moved to Thread Jail and probably rightfully so as it had no valuable or useful content up until I left this morning. I'm not sure why Moose is so upset about this, was there something else going on? If anyone wants to update me privately please PM, I'm up for a while...

I have spoken to both mods and we are all kinda confused about this situation. The only things that were removed recently by me were some posts by PokerQueens yesterday which were adverising a site. I sent her a PM advising her that I removed them and sent them to thread jail (though when I did this it looks like subsequent posts in the thread were lost if there were any). Today I removed one post advertising a poker site/casino (not sure what it was, but it was gone about 15 mins after it was posted. It was blatant spam, the user was banned and the post deleted.

If these were the threads you are referring to I am not sure what to say... they were spam, so I got rid of them. If these were not the threads you are talking about, I am really at a loss for words as for what happened and apologize if something went missing, but it was beyond my control.

If there is something that is spam I am gonna delete it. Instead of making comments on the spam, please report the thread, and an email will go out to the moderators immediately so one of us can get rid of it.

In my pathetic defense I learned today that if you go through your post history all pictures are reduced to links, which made me think my post had been deleted when I couldn't find it.
