I'm 6 and a half hours into the PokerStars $20 Limit HE Deep Stacks tourney.
We just now made it to the money.
A grueling affair to say the least.

I'm going to give the Pokerstars Deepstack (30+3) tourney at 6:15pm today a shot.
I know i WANT to play with a deepstack of chips, now any recommendations on HOW to do that :)

Well i'm up to the third break.
Nothing spectacular have 13,883 compared to average 17,478
117 out of 234
Was running about 50% above average but lost two decent pots in the last 2 orbits and am now below average, both to brett66. He seems tricky, someone i'm staying aware of, anyone played with him before?

Another break
22,233 with average 26907
The table chip leader was on my lefr but he just got moved. Second in chips on the table and mainly just picking up blinds here and there, no real skirmish
79 out of 152
I really wasn't sure what to expect with this blind and chip structure.
The one nice thing is i've never once felt pot committed the entire tournament (so far) ... i haven't laid down any monsters but i've been just as able to walk away from coin flip situations without significant damage to my stack. I am still shocked at people willing to get it all-in even deep in this tourney with medium pocket pairs etc... even any two paint.

Nice double up there Chugs. Been watching for on and off for a bit while playing my own tournaments there.

Thanks, I actually hate depending with A-rag but against him i felt a bit more comfortable.

Haven't had much luck today, so I'm going to stop for the night. Been busted out of a couple with nice hands beaten by better hands. Will keep your window open to keep checking your progress every so often.

5th break
We are getting near the money. I have barely above average stack, but so does everyone else at my table. No real short stacks to pound, but some players who are scared near the money.
One player specifically, Neutrality is causing me trouble. I seem to keep getting just a bit over extended against him
49,812 chips with average of 43978
i'm in 30 out of 94 with top 81 paying.

Tough hand Chugs.
You're still in it, nice playing since that flush over straight to get your stack up a little bit.
Don't panic, just keep moving decisively.
Good luck!
Chugs
Thanks hork,
In the money and now waiting for my spot. Nice advantage of this structure, i'm a short stack but still over 10BB. Still have a little room to manouver, but not much

You tired yet?

Another break
I'm really not use to playing this long online, I tend to have difficulty staying focused.
27,684 compared to average of 61,044
won a race just before the break TT vs AK against a micro-stack
54th of 68 remaining
after the break blinds are up to 1000/2000 with 100 ante.
Like i said even shortstacked, things aren't desperate.

I should point out i'm actually on the other side of the planet.
the 6:15pm start was actually a 4:45am start for me.
I was having trouble sleeping and woke up, saw the deep stack and said why not.
Still at 6 hours and 40 minutes already this is an enderance test, at least for me
Hork42
Good run man, what was that last hand?
Chugs
66 on the button.
Pushed and got called by both blinds AJ and AK.
Board ended 3 Q Q J J ... so got rivered when the board paired up over me and they split the pot.
I really do like the format, and if i can work the timezones i'll try more of those deep stack tournies ... its a good thing our pokerforum tournies aren't deepstack tournies, otherwise they would never end
