Best tablet (affordable) for online poker?

Hey folks

My old laptop is old. I'm thinking a tablet may be better suited for what I used my laptop for (poker 90% of the time). I'm more a fan of android as my phone is android, and it's what I'm comfortable with. Anyone have experiences with tablet pokering and if so, what do you reccommend. Obviously I'd rather not drop $1000 on a tablet, and have seen some in the $250 range that may work.

I'm no expert but I'd recommend a touchscreen laptop because then it can function as a regular computer and you can just flip the keyboard back and use it as a tablet as well.

Apple makes some of the best tablets out there and pricing cant be beat! Android tablets are hot garbage unless you want to spend $700 plus and no one makes them other than Samsung it seems anymore. And at that price range you start to look at why am i buying a limited tablet when I can get a full functioning laptop that will run anything!

I have personally used what Trigs is saying that was a 2in1 that allowed me to remove the keyboard and turn it into a tablet which was nice but also sucked holding a big computer in my hand with no proper stand. It had a kick stand but it really was unstable on your lap. If you got a folding laptop that allowed you to flip the entire keyboard behind the screen you get the best of both worlds and can put it back into laptop mode when sitting.

This is more useable in my opinion. this is a business unit so ignore the price I am just pointing to it for example of what i mean by a folding laptop

Anything Amazon is underpowered and very slow. the fire tablets just suck IMO.

If you want a tablet I really would look at first if your site supports apple and has an app in the App Store not side loaded. Go play with a iPad 10" they are amazing! I am an Apple hater myself for their anti fix stance but they are one of the best tablets out there! Next to that go to Staples and try the Android tables they have to see if you like the speed or feel of any of them!

A few months ago I bought a Chromebook for pokering online [hashtag OnlinePoker] and it doesnt poker. I thought it Android app comparable but nope.
Keep in mind that Android tablets would only allow for mobile version of apps. Just like mobile\cellphones.

I prefer desktop apps anyways as I like to review my hands in pt4. I'd say buy a Window10 tablet from TigerDirect but that store went outta business. Not certain if there is a comparable discount electronics store in the KW area. Like there used to be XS Cargo or other surplus retailer? Is Red Flag Deals still up?

Acer has a cheap Windows 11 (in "S mode", not sure what that means) laptop for $399.99 plus taxes environment surcharges and shipping?
Since the bottom of the barrel (cheapest laptop on their website) I'd guess it okay for playing poker but not for multi-tabling 20 tables at once.

Also it Windows 11 so your old copy of pt3 may not be compatible...
