Here's my random rant for the day:
Just read an article about the injuries to the Cleveland Caveliers players (who are in round 2 of the playoffs right now and are the #1 seed in the east but down 0-2). One starter is sitting out with a sore toe and 6th man is sitting out with a sore thumb (dislocated last game).
Are you fucking kidding me? It's the friggin' playoffs and you're choosing not to play because your finger hurts!?
I clearly remember watching John Starks (played for the Knicks in the 90s) dislocating a finger on a play and running over to the bench to get someone to snap it back in for him so he could keep playing. Team didn't even call a timeout! And that's not the only time I saw things like that happen.
You only get so many opportunities to win a championship. How are you sitting out in a situation like this!? If it's not a career threatening issue, get your ass out there and play! The "injuries" that keep players out nowadays didn't even qualify as an injury years ago.
