    My friends have a Pokerstars Whatsapp group where we set up weekly, sometimes bi-weekly sit and go style tourney that has seemed to dwindled down since restrictions lifted. We have 18 in the group but only seems to be between 6-8 players playing consistently and trying to fill the table up. Is anyone interested in joining the WhatsApp group and playing consistently once a week, fun game with lots of chirping. We are looking at having a game tonight if anyone is in around 9pm

    Alright, it's official and about damn time. I will be hosting a tournament on Saturday April 2nd.

    Details:
    $125 Texas Hold'em Knockout Tournament
    ($100 Buyin + $20 Bounty + $5 High Hand)
    15k in chips
    25 minute levels
    50 players max

    *UPDATE* if any players are eliminated from the tournament within the first four levels I will allow waitlist players to enter if they so choose with a regular starting stack. Will only apply to people who show up that are on the waitlist though.

    Top 6 get paid
    Located in the Brigadoon area of Kitchener
    (Address will be sent out closer to the date to those who need it)
    Doors open at 1pm and starts at 1:30pm
    Parking available on the street

    Cash games will open as players are eliminated
    Eliminated tournament players will get priority for cash game

    *No Rake*
    Any and all money collected goes to prize pools and/or players
    Any and all new players are welcome provided someone has either played with and/or has vouched for you.

    Late players: If you know you're going to be late, let me know and a seat and chips will be set out for you and you will post blinds and fold until you arrive.

    If you do not let me know that you'll be late, we'll keep your chips out for a level and then remove then. You can buy in when you show up, but will pay a penalty of 4 rounds of blinds/ante per level (or partial level you miss)

    The tournament will last approximately 5-6 hours. Seating is limited to 24 players. (8 max tables) Please reserve your seat in advance!! The final table will form with 9 players left.

    Cash game chips will be available as tables open up. (Suggested .25/.50 $60 max)

    As always, tournaments at The Compound are rake-free!!

    This charity poker tournament was posted on Facebook so I'm sharing it here. The famous Milpman is one of the organizers and it will be held in the beautiful Linamar building. Proceeds go to the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation. I am a patient there so I have volunteered to be a dealer if they will need it, but I would love to play as I have had to keep travelling outside Ontario just to be able to play tournaments.
