Congrats and good run for your dad. Time to take them on a Vegas poker trip.
Seems like Niagara has stepped up big time in putting on good weekly tournaments now that gbh will be stopping theirs

Thanx, I did take my dad to vegas 2 years ago, and my mom to the Dominican for the millions event. They keep asking when will i win the next package.

I am going to Vancouver for a month, I always wanted to live there so this is going to be a cool experience. I will still grind a decent amount over there. Hopefully Vegas for next year.

I was there this evening and asked that question specifically. The sup told me they haven't printed anything as yet because they are still adjusting. Hopefully they don't make it worse, ie rake it heavier. It sounds good the way it is. At the moment both tournaments have the same structure and starting stacks.

Max is 150 (15 tables). I think you can only register in person day of tournament, but I could be wrong.

You can phone but they charge you 2% extra for the privilege. It hasn't been close to selling out yet so register the day of.

It seems they have been doing a great job but the surcharge is stupid. If everyone registers at the last minute then they will not know how many dealers to have in advance.

There is a reason most home hosts offer a bonus for early registration and we don't have to provide dealers. We are not stupid.

If it's the same method as the WPT events, the surcharge is likely for using a credit card. They charge that if you use a credit card in person too. It sucks but it's because they have to pay a surcharge. A possible solution would be if you could register multiple people in person. I don't know if they allow that or if you have to register yourself.

Think I will sticky this one for a while so people who play can post their thoughts, look at DJ's post earlier in the thread, I added the blind progression which seem awfully good for such a small buyin.

I'm going to the tournament tomorrow. Probably head down around noon. Anyone else going to be there?

I'm assuming that I don't have to register early - these haven't been filling up to max, have they?
