Help me buy a new Razor

I've been using the Mach III and I am looking for something new. I am not a fan of electric ones as I find they don't give me a smooth/clean cut. Possibly the one I bought was inexpensive at $149.99, so that could have been the problem.

They keep advertising newer razors and thought I would ask for opinions.

What do you like to use and would you recommend it?

I've already grown my winter beard back in. Fuck shaving. But when I do shave it's with a Gillette Fusion (non-powered).

I don't shave often but when I do...
Fusion is good. Got a few free ones over the years.
Fusion power is good and expensive. Got a cheap one from Amazon.
Dorco 6 blade is good and cheap. Takes a few weeks for delivery.
Braun 700 series is good and expensive. Catch it on sale.

Dorco is probably best performance /price ratio. $40 will probably cover you for 2+ years if you take care of the blades.

Great topic for a poker forum. I'm not sure anyone shaves here, either.

I've never liked electric razors. I researched it again a couple years ago and bought the highest rated wet/dry razor...used it twice and now it's in a drawer somewhere. I only shave roughly once a week so that may be why I never find electric razors work that well for me.

ca.dollarshaveclub.com sounds decent since I buy lots of stuff online but not that cheap in Canada.

I currently use a Mach 3...I find that this

    with these

Thanks guys for all the responses so far. I was considering the Gillette Fusion. Who would have though a thread regarding razors would have more responses then some of the hh posted on the forum.

Guys get hosed for razors like ladies get hosed at the hairdresser/drycleaner.

$5+ for a razor cartridge is fucking stupid.

If you want a truly close shave you need to ditch the 12 blade razors (or whatever # they are up to. Just get an old fashioned safety razor with the double sided blades. Nothing will shave you as close, except a straight razor. It will take a little bit of time to get proficient with one, but the blades last longer, and the shave is better once you do. I use a Fusion for every day shaves, but when I want to look nice, I use the od fashioned . . . want to buy a straight razor and learn how to wield it, though.

Love going to "my" shop for a hot towel shave. I get the top and bottom shaved for $30.00 including tip. It's a helluva deal. Sadly, shops in this Province are no longer allowed to used straight razors for sanitary reasons.
    Man does, woman is.
