    10-Game

Anyone else ever play this on Full Tilt? Not sure if Stars runs it or not (no $ left on there). A game is usually available at the .50/1.00 level, which is $20 max buyin. I think it's pretty much killed all the HORSE action anyway.

My problem is I can often donk off my stack in the PLO or NLHE section. The same could happen at NL 2-7 but I find most everyone plays that pretty conservatively.

Also, I'd like to take this opportunity to suggest that one of the two Royal Cups in each given year be changed from their usual format to just a huge day-long 10game tournament. Failing that, let's change the stud round to a badugi round.

We get the same sort of argument every time... "Let's change the games to <Insert my favorite game here>." The major problem is that it is hard enough to fill teams with the current game mix where you can bring in Hold 'em players and teach them the basics of Omaha which plays pretty close to Hold 'em. (Not saying they're the same game - but you can convince a Hold 'em player that they are).

I think that the Royal does a good job of testing different formats of poker without alienating a lot of people that only know Hold 'em.

Most people do not want to play something where they know they are not going to know what is going on [It can also be frustrating for those who want to play the mix games, because although the questions allow you to spot to fish, they also slow down game play]. For those of us that love mix games that would be great, but it plays much better at the Moose casino or somewhere else where you will have 1 or 2 tables, not at an event like the Royal Cup.

BTW - to answer your first question, I play a lot of 8 game on Stars. Same format as 10-game, except for take out Badugi and 2-7 NL. The 8 game has also killed the HORSE on Stars (Boo!).

Yeah, my full day of mix games suggestion was basically a joke - it would never work.
But since most people don't play stud more than 2 days a year anyway, and some are essentially learning it as they go on the day of the Royal, it would be doable to change the Stud round to something a little more year 2013. Because badugi.
