Casino Niagara July 2nd

Planning on going to Niagara tomorrow. I might play tournament or just cash. We'll see what I feel like. Anyone else going?

• Wow, look at that. The very first one is one a weekend. Lucky you. :D
(Insert obligatory "FU Trigs!" here)

I'm hoping to make the next one on July 19, so any info you can glean wrt structures, duration, etc. would be much appreciated.

Also, getting a sense of how quickly these are filling up so far would be very helpful.

There's already a thread discussing Casino Niagara structures - http://pokerforum.ca/showthread.php?34658-Casino-Niagara-2019-weekly-tournaments
• Today's tourney is the first NSOP Super Satellite, which is different from the regular weekly tournament structures.

See this: https://casinoniagara.com/gaming/tournaments

If you go down the page a bit you should find a series of downloadable PDF files that should answer all your questions.
• Oh wow, that's helpful and unexpected. After so many years of little/no marketing communication, it didn't even occur to me that they would post it on the website.

The new owners are on it!

Thanks.

no Glen....... 13CARDS is putting forth a lot of effort to turn the poker room around. I agree that in the past it was a gigantic pile of poop but things have changed in a very positive way. Carl, Amy, Rob are working hard and doing a great job. Same with Vince who is sometimes dealing and sometimes supervising. Also the regular dealers have been running the tables very well.
• I agree, I think that 13Cards has made a big difference, perhaps he got more control and input? At least I think so. Some of us on here were way to hard on him years ago when he was on here. Wish he would come back more regular as I think we owe him an apology. Although most who gave him a hard time are long gone I believe.
• Yeah, but those folks (and others) have always done an excellent job and had good ideas with very little change in operations. What's different is ownership.

Now we have a much better room, in a better space (IMO). Just think of all the positive changes that have happened over the past little while:
Phone chargers at the tables
Free wifi
Tournaments

Coincidence that it all happened around the time the Casino was sold? I think not.

I'm not saying the floor staff has had nothing to do with it, just that it seems like now they're empowered to do what they think is best for the room, or at the very least they're ideas are being considered, and that comes back to leadership.

All hail our new Mohegan Overlords!
• Not so sure about that Glenn, think the deal was inked last fall but they only fairly recently took over didn't they? I give credit to management a ways back when the changes started, like a year ago or so. 13Cards obviously moved up and finally some of the ideas he and others suggested are taking fruit. I'm sure the new owners will continue in that vein, at least I hope so. 13Cards if he was here could confirm.
