Just for grins, here are a few of the superstitious card protectors I ran across on the way back to the media room:

a duck in one of those glass water things that has snow

a 4x6 picture of a child
a gold military emblem in memory of a players brother who died 6 months ago and always dreamed of playing this event
ceramic cat

Tickle me Elmo action figure

plastic block with an initial in it
breath freshener
skoal
part of a keychain the fellow dressed as Elmo's mother yanked off her keys and gave to him for luck
