Abbreviations

Hey, new to this forum or any forum for that matter. Just wondering if you can help me with some abbreviations. I figured most of them out but theres still a few that i have no clue what they mean. Anyone with a key/legend that can help me understand what the hell you are all talking about. Its french at times and i don't speak french at all. Yet....

Thanks

Kevin

    Here's a pretty old thread (Topic number 52) with a poker glossary, and I posted a few poker abbreviations in one of the posts. I found it by doing a forum search for "abbreviations".

    Here are a couple more that weren't in the previous thread:

    EV = Expected value
    LPLLHE = Loose-passive low-limit holdem

    Hopefully you'll be able to upgrade from WTF to OIC in no time. :cool:

  • ULARG = 'unreal lucky and rigged game'
  • So im reading Daves updates and have a few questions. UTG and MP? What do they stand for?
  • UTG= Under the gun (player who is first to act in a betting round)
    MP= Middle position (referring to where a player is sitting in relation to the button)
