(K/W) The Compound - THE MAIN EVENT - $60 NLHE - Sat, Jul 6th

Hey everyone!

It's time to celebrate the start of the 2019 WSOP Main Event, so we're going to continue a tradition we started a couple years ago and have our own "MAIN EVENT". Same starting chips. (60,000) Same blinds (slightly less time on the blind levels, of course!), same level of play.. maybe. :)

It's a $60 tournament that will start at 1pm. (and, just the the WSOP, every 5 levels will be a new Day with a table redraw)

Late reg is available, but you will be penalized 5 rotations of blinds for every level you are late, or partially late for. (Eg. Level 1: 57,500 Level 2: 53,750 Level 3: 48,750 Level 4: 42,500 Level 5: 35,000)

Alternates (if there are any) will get a full stack as long as you're around for the start of the tournament.

Super deep, super fun, and slightly more than a regular tournament. Cash games will start as players bust out

Bristol Street Poker at the Compound presents...

Late players: If you know you're going to be late, please let me know and a seat and chips will be set out for you and you will post blinds and fold until you arrive. Players that are late that haven't let me know will give up their seat to the next player on the alternate list. If there's no one left on the waiting list, late players may buy into the tournament during the first 5 levels (~2.5 hours), but will be penalized 5 rotations of blinds for each level that's missed or partially missed.

Alternate List players: Players on the alternates list will fill no shows at the start of the tournament to a maximum of 32. The remaining players are alternates. When a player busts out, you have the option of joining the tournament at that point with a starting chip stack.

The tournament will last approximately 10-12 hours. Seating is limited to 32 players with alternates. (8 max tables) Please reserve your seat in advance!! The final table will form with 9 players left. \\

"Non-refundable" is apparently just a saying.... sign me back up again for this game! Spider-man Sunday now!

    Good bankroll management.

If I buy 50% of you are you back in? Skip a couple of lunches for the difference..
  • Thanks Comp, appreciate it but I'm WAY over my budget. Told Amanda I would be responsible if I was playing poker all the time.. Have to be responsible plus were trying for a baby so saving for that also :) . But good news is I have chips, cards, just need to finish the basement and can have some cash games at my place soon! Will be building my own table I hope!
  • I am suddenly free on the 6th. If only there was an affordable tournament, on that day, late enough to sleep in, within walking distance, ...

    Sign me up please.
  • In please.
  • Bumping this to get more people in on it...

Where are the trigs, the foldeds, the woog's, seekthegrail, etc?

I would be there if I wasn't flying to Vegas that weekend. When I get back I'll be coming to every game I can for the rest of the summer.
  • I think we're also seeing an uptick in the amount of poker being played. Seems that every weekend has a really good local tournament going on. It feels like 2004 all over again! :)
  • I can't play this one either, as I'm in Vegas now. 😎👍

Absolutely, this should be getting wayyyy more love.. Let's go guys, if we can't be in Vegas for the real Main event, this is a close second.
