Casino Rama Thursday June 14th

Taking advantage of the free room offer at Rama. Been a while since I have made a visit.

Anyone have any idea as to what games are being spread?
I know it use to be 1/2 or 2/5 NL in addition to 2/4 limit.

Omaha would be nice.

    That's crazy. You would think if business is slow they would lower take to increase traffic.

    Might have to play craps instead.

    While Rama continues to have the $285 + $15 tournaments with the lowest rake of only 5% for now, some players are mad about the cash game rake increase to $10 from $6, so we will never play a cash game again there. Others don't seem to care about the huge increase or that the bad beat collection will continue to be mixed in with the rake, :eek: & continue to play the cash games.

    Ya just saw your post on 2p2 about the rake blondefish, yikes!. I have a feeling Rama is going down even further than they are now with this new operator coming in. I am going to try and go up there Friday or the weekend to clear out some of my rewards just in case they overhaul the program. I was really thinking of getting a "free" room tonight last week as they emailed saying their was still some available.

    Was there for Jim Jeffries this past Sunday. Arrived 2 hours early to play cards but left the second the show was over. Room is now a joke. Haven't been for a few years but never again. For those of you who haven't been in a while, here's an update/trip report. Digital sign inside the room above the brush showing the lists. Scrolls to a screen that says rake increased to $10 for all games - 1/2, 2/5, and 2/4 Limit. Let me repeat that - 2/4 LIMIT is now raked $10. Someone must be clueless...

    They removed the front tables and put a few seats in that space, but it looks really low-rent now. Only six tables were running at 5 pm. Seemed like all regulars and they allowed table hopping. Mostly older folks, play not terrible but not great either. Only one staff member and the cage was on break so no chip buying or cashing out. Allowed you to buy from dealer who had no chips in tray. I told the brush (only guy there) that a fill was needed. Right before I left they brought a rack of whites. Let me say that again - I was at 2/5 and there were no reds in the tray. When I bought in I was given 4 blacks and 4 greens. WTF...
    No life in the room no staff no cashier no chips (!) and $10 rake. Regs only. Not worth your time and money. I was up $245 but lost a big combo draw hand that hit but my flush was out pipped. You know those hands where you are getting ridiculous odds to continue, but prefer to hit your straight not your flush because while you will crush the first bettor, the other caller most likely has a better flush draw? So that happened. I won literally enough to cover the cost of my show ticket and gas.

    Sad state of affairs in Ontario poker now. At least Niagara has improved.
