WPT Hand in Montreal

The blinds were 400/800 ante 100. Almost the end of the first day and I am sitting on a 65k stack.

A new guy joins the table. He (the button) is sitting on 64.5k exactly. Everyone folds to him. He raises to around 2100. Small blind folds and I decide to protect with 55 in the big blind. Flop comes A35 (sorry I forget exact cards).

I knew I had him beat here unless he was raising with 24 or AA. A5 is statistically improbable, but it happens. Preflop, It looked like a steal with marginal hand like A8. I bet about 1/3 of the pot, he raises to 4500, I call.

Turn comes another ace. I have a monster here, so I bet around 7500
He shoves.

Call or not to call? Cause I called and he showed ace 3 offsuit and I didn't hit a 5 on the river lol.

I got exactly 500 from the dealer and I managed to build my stack back up a bit before I jammed 88 on the button (everyone folded to me) into QQ small blind and KK big blind.

Luckily I qualified in
