  • The illegal clubs will probably be running raked satellites every week soon, but in case anybody wants to play in a rake-free satellite to take a shot at over $4 million prize pools, please post or contact me. The winner of the first satellite can choose between the Fallsview $1,100 or Caesars Windsor's The Legend $1,000 event. Otherwise, I'll see you at the Bingo crapshoots with rake of up to 12% at Fallsview after WPT Montreal.

    Interest List

    1) Georgetown: Jeff; PocketsTwos, Dave, Ante River, Loose Goose, Taz, Bingo Buddy, ...

    2) Aberfoyle: Dave; PocketsTwos, Ante River, Loose Goose, Bingo, ...

    3) Milton: Card Dead, PocketsTwos, leafsmets, Bingo, ...

    4) Hamilton: trigs; Maria, djgolfcan, cns187, PocketsTwos, Ante River + 1, leafsmets, Taz, Haydn, Misho, Bingo, ...

    5) Georgetown: Piranha; PocketsTwos, cns187, Ante River, Carl, Tim, Misho, Taz, Haydn, Bingo, ...

    6) Pickering: Tim; cns187, PocketsTwos, Michael, Misho, Bingo, ...
  • I'm interested...

I am also checking to see if we can host rake free satties to one or more of these events. Satellite(s) would take place in Aberfoyle, near Guelph.

    In.
  • Interested. Gtown - Guelph - O'ville areas.
    Thx
  • 1) Are you in Hamilton, or which city?
    2) Does pkrfce9 deserve any equity? ;)

Updated interest list with the five satellite locations. I think there was only one forum RFS last year, but the odds of more this year is now better than a flush draw!

Hey I didn't know you were in Hamilton too... I'll be hosting games again at some point... always welcome.

Count me in for a Hamilton sat as well.
  • First of all, thanks to DrCarl for alerting us to Fallsview's website update.
Secondly, apologies for hijacking this thread with RFS, as I never expected there would be this much interest this year.

Thirdly, the first scheduled RFS now has its own thread @ http://www.pokerforum.ca/f10/2017-wpt-fallsview-rfs-33584. This thread can now return to regularly-scheduled programming about Fallsview.

Last but not least, no equity for pkrfce9! :p
  • I'd be interested in RFS in most of these cities, and could also host one with up to 3 tables if you need.

Thx, not from the hammer, but willing to travel for the satty's :)
  • Interested in Pickering as I live in Courtice. I wish more Forum members were out this way.
  • I replied on FB to Buddy - and just joined the site and see my name :)

Glad to finally be part of this group - and definitely keen on the RFS's being offered. I think I missed the first one, but I'm down for the next ones!

    Cheers guys!
  • Any info on if you can call in to register for the $1000+$100 over the phone?

    Thanks

Yes you can. They charge a small fee but saves you the drive for the one event that will sell out in advance.
  • Someone PM me please if there is rake free sattys to be running in the hammer, I could probably show for them
  • There has been a change this year when you win a seat in the WPT single table satalite you no longer have to go to the cage to redeem your card, because now you recieve your paper voucher right at the poker table that you played at. For those of us whom had trouble keeping track of all your cards good luck now with keeping track of paper receipts, thats right no more cards!!!
  • Last night they ran $125,235 and 550 satties. on a few occasions they announced seats open for them to run when 1 or 2 players were needed.
  • I'm not sure I understand. When you won a $550 or $1,050 voucher last year, you had to wait several hours before picking up the voucher at the Cashier. Are you saying that we now get the voucher right away?

When you won your first $1,100, $2,500 or $5,000 entry from an STT, you could pick up your plastic entry card after several hours. Are you saying we get a paper voucher instead? If you win a second one, do you get another voucher instead of cash in your account?

Once you have one your seat your are instructed not to leave the poker room or table, 5-10 mins later one of the poker suits walks over with your paper voucher wich also appears to already have your table and seat drawn at bottom of it. I asked if these were temporary until cards came in and i was told no this is my entry and dont loose it, i am not sure if it is same as plastic card if you loose is or is damaged your f**ked, i am hoping theres a record linked yo PAC card, What a nightmare to wake up one morning only to realize you left your 5k paper voucher in your pocket and your wife washed your jeans!, i am treating all mine like the holy grail in an protective envalope and in a plastic zip lock sandwich bag. But to confirm you do not go to the cage to get yiur seats it has been the same for all mine and everyone else i have watched win. I will look into if you loose paper one if there is a record of it on Pac Card and your ok.
  • I also forgot to mention the vouchers are the same size and same paper as a walmart receipt so you really have to take care of them. If they are to last till tourny also I guess you have lost the option to leave them safely at the cage until picking them up a a aweek before event or the day of like in proir years.
  • are able to win multiple vouchers and re-sell them like in previous years ?
  • :o Damn, I was planning to have a day of recovery after the delayed flights from Caribbean Poker Party last night, but I will now drive out to Fallsview for the first time to ask management my questions. Are you, Toronto Pimp or any other member going to be there tonight? Does anybody else have any questions regarding WPT FPC?

  • Tonight was the first time I've been to Fallsview since the WPT final table as I've been too busy playing elsewhere, so here's a trip report:

    - I like the renovations of the 365 Club and casino floor. It is brighter and more open, so you will see more "distractions." >:D

    - There is a new Casino Shift Manager in charge of WPT FPC. :o

    - 7 cash game tables. I think some of the Fallsview pros are already at the WPT DeepStacks / Run It Up in Calgary. My table was newly opened and it seems that regs couldn't wait to move to other tables. They were like military drones hovering over every table, including a girl who looks like she could be Liv Boeree's younger sister. She kept bum hunting like at PokerStars, until she finally settled down on one table.

    - Fallsview is now using the Bravo system. You may be charged for parking if you forget to have your card swiped everywhere you sit or don't earn enough points for the day. I asked at the VIP Desk how many hours of poker I would need to play in order to avoid the $20 parking fee for Sunday, but when they swiped my card, they told me that my card has free parking.

    - A dealer told me that a $245 satellite ran on Saturday, & some player asked why I wasn't there. I had a good excuse! My office table #17  was opened too early today but there were never enough players that were still in the room to ever come close to running a satellite. Dealer after dealer sat in #17 with nothing to do, as the most we got was five players who picked a seat card.

    - One of the regs got drunk and kept talking loudly. When I saw the familiar security suit along with a very tall back-up, I thought that he would be thrown out but he was a nice drunk and got a second chance.

    - The dealer error rate was higher than normal, including mucking a big guy's cards and as he tried to protect his cards, the dealer gave him back different cards. He lost his cool and made demands. Lucky for him, one of the two best supervisors was there at the time and asked him to listen first to his ruling and reasons. The guy kept talking and I reminded to keep quiet first and listen. After the supervisor finally had a chance to say a couple of sentences, the guy resumed talking. He kept blabbing and was eventually told that he was being thrown out. He finally calmed down and asked for forgiveness. The supervisor gave him a second chance! After spending a week in Paradise, it was just another day at Fallsview.

    - A lady who I remembered playing in the $2,000 events in the Good Old Days at Brantford sat down and said that it was her first time playing in Canada for awhile. It seems that just like Xuan Liu, she may have gone pro, playing in the California and Florida cash games. After seeing the night's shenanigans, she said this is why she doesn't like playing in Canada.

    - There were a bunch of tourists, including one from Sweden who couldn't speak English. I more than quadrupled my buy-in but forgot to cash out some black chips inside my lucky Crown Royal bag that Toronto Pimp had given to me.

    - I confirmed that all entries and satellite wins will be issued as paper vouchers, with no more plastic cards. Officially, if you lose your $5,000 voucher, you are SOL! ???

"Pro tip of the day:" Try not to leave your $5,000 voucher in your wallet and go swimming. That's the blunder I made when I took a dip in the Caribbean Sea with everything in my pockets. Bye bye, wallet!
  • So are you still able to win a bunch of vouchers and sell them or are they limiting them this year ?
