  • I would bet/bet/bet instead of checking turn, or check/call-lead/lead

what is your thinking process of checking turn?

you lose a lot of value bcz you will get a lot of check back on 67jj board, most draws A highs and smaller pocket pairs 88-TT will check back IP for a free card

Also what do u put him on when he called your turn raise?
  • I play it the same until the river.

Just bet half pot or whatever. As played, he's not calling with many hands you beat, and only calling with better. Since he's limped 3 of the first 4 hands (0.75) we assume he's not good and raises with value calls (i.e. QQ/KK etc)

His turn call indicates either FD/SD or a J.

Your bet on river gets called by SD and J (u lose) and folds out FD (u win nothing).
  • pretty close I think. when he calls your turn raise what hands can he have?

Jx for sure, all the spades for sure, 89 probably, maybe K7 Q7?, maybe 45 or T9??

He basically goes call call call call then shoves river. I don't really know what to make of it... 26bb to win 22bb... I probably pay it off and hope to see a missed draw... I think its close enough that folding might be better though???

edit - explains why it didn't make sense to me, I read it as he bet river and you called. Must agree w/ above, you can't bet pot on the end , need to either go for tiny value or check call river.

    Hero shoved river.
  • Why don't you tell us what better hands fold here and what worse hands call. There are a few but vs the hands that kill you I bet the ratio is pretty small.

I checked turn because I felt that he would bluff at it. He was limping preflop but playing aggressive post flop. I thought he would fold a lot of hands if I bet out the turn so I gave him a chance to bluff. His call though should worry me though. I played river terribly.
