  • He likes the King and I'm guessing he has K-J - Anything else and you call and say "Nice hand".

He can play higher sets this way, 6-7 for a gut shot straight that hit on the turn. All of which means he got lucky on the turn or river.

I'm never folding a set here.
  • Agree with Devon here, it looks like K,J but of course could be a set of 4's as well... Not folding unless perhaps for life changing money which I would never play for. Actually though of folding flopped bottom set against Prophet and Tammi during yesterdays Royal. Didn't of course but thought about it.
  • I like what Comp says about it not being for "life changing" money. Its so important to be playing the correct stakes for your bank roll.
  • I like raise then fold for your remaining $2.35

hey, not all of us can donk out a wsop bracelet. >:D

thanks for comments. summarized results below in white:

i called and lost to KK.
  • That's what I figured. If you had managed to get it all in earlier, would you feel better?

I don't think calling there is the best play though. Nor is folding.
  • And that's why we don't play cash for life changing money.. Bankroll management fwiw. Volume is key.

yes, if i got my money all in when i was ahead i'd probably feel better. isn't that the goal? his river raise could be with a lone K or more likely a KJ rivered two pair. he could also have a set like JJ and be kind of slowplaying it. i don't think i can fold river here, but i don't see how many hands he's raising the river with that i can beat.

are you saying that a reraise on the river is best play?
  • I think so if you can reasonably put him on a worse hand (yes) that would still call (dunno) . You'd have to run the ranges to figure that out.
  • Gross river, but what can you do ?

He was never folding on that board. Hand played itself, imo.
