Challenge: 5 Buy-in Bank Roll Management
Hi Poker Enthusiasts & Moderators
Last night I was reading the 2+2 forums, under the "goals" section and stumbled upon this gem: 5 buy-in BRM, all the cool kids are doing it. - Poker Goals & Challenges -- Two Plus Two Poker Forums
Not sure if this player was successful or not, but I am taking it upon myself to try and complete this challenge. I do not have a time frame for when I will be able to complete, or if this is possible.
I will follow his exact guidelines:
Win 5 Buy-ins @ 10NL = $50.00
Move Up
Win 5 Buyins @ 25NL = $125.00
Move Up
Win 5 Buyins @ 50NL = $250.00
Move Up
Win 5 Buyins @ 100NL =$500
Move Up
Win 5 Buyins @ 200NL =$1,000
-I will play two tables, one of NLHE and one PLO
-I will play at a stake until I have 5 buy-ins for the next stake
*If I drop to 3 buy-ins for that stake I will move down.
Starting Bankroll = $50.00
I know this is complete degeneracy, I just want to see if it is possible.
Will keep you guys posted after my sessions, with key hands and maybe you guys can help spot some and plug some leaks -
I will be using PokerTracker to monitor my results.

btw, you might want to also play with a full buy-in all the time instead of playing with $5.22 at a $10 max table. Not sure if this is against the rules?

Hmm, i'm not sure if short stacking was stated in the rules or not?
It's a slight advantage, but if I complete this challenge short stacking - I will repeat the challenge with the 1 buyin rule at all times.

Summary of NL10, after hand #212, I was leaking like a faucet, missing draws and over playing
TPTK in NL10 - after taking a min. break at hand #295 I was able to re-evaluate my
play and plug some leaks. I was close to breaking even in NL10 - but as I sit now,
I am still down $8.34
Summary of PLO10, I was lucky to be on a table of really poor players. Hand #164 is when
I started day #2 and it looked quite promising, until the following hand occured and put
me on some tilt.

I did manage to climb back and make it back from Villian, but he went broke and left the
