topic turns into a chit chat

If someone posts a topic, the replies should be relative to the topic. Not just idle chat between a few people who have nothing better to do than type short quips on here that dont make sense to anyone but themselves. Those replies should be removed by the administrator. If they arent removed, people will not return to this site because they cant follow a thread through that nonsense chat reply.

  • Because it's interesting and helps lighten things up.

Loosen up your tighty whities, your original post was a good one, your other 2 are borderline boring crap.
  • Lightens things up? do you think its interesting to read that someone you dont know is opening a beer or ording pizza?? I need to loosen up? People who find the need to post that they are scratching their asses need to get life..
  • I prefer Guinness and Pepi's.

It's cause there's history from 13cards when someone criticizes FV. Becomes quite the show. :D
  • Was your post supposed to be a serious thread?

Seriously cjnms, I think most of us on here thought your post was just a "ghost" account created on here by one of the regulars to stir up things a bit. I'm still not convinced it isn't. As some previously have mentioned there is quite a bit of history around conditions at Fallsview casino. This topic had been discussed ad nauseum in previous threads. See here..
    http://www.pokerforum.ca/f7/you-floor-15497/

    and here..
    http://www.pokerforum.ca/f7/one-more-clusterf%2Ack-fallsview-15752/

Now if you are seriously a new poster, your post succinctly sums up many of the previous concerns re Fallsview's customer service issues so congrats on that. However you have to remember most of these issues have been mentioned before, but perhaps not all listed in one thread in such a nice point form format.

In any case, if new, welcome to the forum, sometimes we even discuss strategy, get together for regular live games, etc. So join in, have fun and bring a lawn chair to relax in. And don't forget, new guy buys the 1st round....

Oh and by the way, I am an administrator here.. lol... It's all in good fun, with maybe a touch of realism to go along.

Where abouts do you live and do you have any interest in playing in some of our tournaments posted in the Home games section?
  • cjnms,

Welcome to the site... I think your post was great, and like Jeff said I think a lot of people assumed it was a post to stir things up with our resident Fallsview employee. I think most took your thread as a joke and responded accordingly.

Most of the strategy type posts don't go that way, it just seemed to be this one because as Jeff said there is quite a lot of history on this topic.

    Hope that helps you understand.

  • cjnms is right. There's no need to hijack threads with that kind of bullshit.

  • Man all this beer, wings and chicken fingers talk is making me hungry...
  • you're right, posting community-based fun is just the pfc elitists trying to maintain exclusivity and power...

this is just like the damn chinese. ;)

You're overreacting..you came here to learn from those same people you're trashing.
Lesson #1: Shitting on FV= flame war with 13cards...to the general delight of the forum!

Actually though...the more thought I put into this...you're not chinese: You, Caddy et al are more like Quebec. Bunch of angry people, who don't like the way we speak and think that we must reorganize to suit them better.

(I'm some creep living in isolation in the Yukon or NWT)
  • No way Kristy. You're Vatican City. lol
  • Really? I like Caddy. Maybe we'll form our own country.
  • knew I shouldn't have bothered with the NWT/Yukon olive branch

Edit: I also have grown to like Caddy, he's english speaking Quebecois

I apologize for not realizing you're such a tight ass.......or not understanding the general tightness of other asses around here.

I really did think it was a satirical flame post, and am truly sorry if you are offended.......tight ass.

Nah, just stating my opinion. God forbid that it has relevance to the thread. Is it really necessary to have every second thread dumbed down into a discussion of Dr Tyore taking off his pants?

I can't imagine that I am the only one here who sees the irony in your statement above. Who else can we all think of who turns half of the threads they get involved in into a personal crusade?
  • In the vein of this thread -- Caddy I just saw you're from St. Thomas -- how old are you (roughly)?

    You're smarter than this.

There is no irony when I post the Yukon/NWT bit, +Milo's bit, +my response. I know who I am...so if your goal was to try and take me down a notch, you've already lost.

But for the record, in response to the 'holier than thou' accusations...I refer you to my signature. ;)

This is the 'losing player' thread all over again...if you [world at large] don't have the drive to form an opinion, the will/confidence to stand up for it, or the knowledge to defend it..then you've made a conscious decision to be a losing life player, and I scoop.

Re-read any of my crusades..I'm very comfortable with my positions and that, my intentions are usually good and fair, where I can help- seeking the best possible outcome for all involved.

You don't like what I've got to say..don't read it or defend against the actual points being made, attacking me personally is weak.

Ah so you're my age -- do you know dairy farmers named Clinton? Was a roommate/classmate of mine in university. Too lazy to look up the size of the town so uncertain how stupid this question is.
  • This thread is pointless without pics...

    Mark

P.S. welcome to internet forums cjnms
  • Oh and P.S. Cadillac

That's more contradictory or hypocritical than ironic

    Mark
  • actually it is neither, given the 'cool kids from kw' sniping

just because you don't like what I'm saying doesn't mean that it is not a true statement.

wtf, did you really just quote alanis morisette?
